As companies around the world set their sights on bold emissions reductions goals – specifically, net-zero emissions by 2050 – there is an urgent need for clean technology solutions. Helping Canadian companies seize global market opportunities in this field is the focus of a new report released by CMC Research Institutes and Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre.
“Exporting CCUS Technology” offers guidance for Canadian companies offering carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies to create an international business development strategy. It also identifies the top 5 markets for Canadian CCUS companies to consider: Australia, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with in-depth analysis of opportunities in each region.
This international business development strategy focused exclusively on CCUS is part of Foresight’s sector-based approach to accelerating cleantech adoption. Segmenting support by sector helps align stakeholders, set priorities, and build a community of engaged funders, pilot partners, technology providers, and industry adopters. Following the successful launch of the waterNEXT last year, Foresight is excited to continue to focus on leading initiatives with a sectoral focus, with carbon identified as an urgent priority.
“Exporting CCUS Technology” is funded by the CanExport Associations Program through the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service.
