CORE Cleantech Cluster joins the #1000Solutions Challenge of the Solar Impulse Foundation
CORE Cleantech Cluster is proud to have officially entered in a collaboration with the Solar Impulse Foundation to support its mission of selecting 1000 clean and profitable solutions to protect the environment.
One of the aspirations of the CORE Cleantech Cluster is to put BC cleantech on the global map. This is one of many partnerships that we are organizing to support clean technology companies to find customers and investment and elevate their profile on a global scale.
The Solar Impulse Foundation, initiated by Swiss explorer and psychiatrist Bertrand Piccard following his round-the-world solar flight, has launched a bold challenge: to find, select and promote 1000 cleantech solutions that have both an economic and environmental positive impact on the world. One of the first to envision ecology through the lens of profitability, Bertrand Piccard aims to show the economic opportunities of clean technologies.
It’s Not Just Solar – Multiple Cleantech Sectors are Eligible
To pick these solutions, the Foundation has set-up the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label. The attribution of the Label is made by the Solar Impulse Foundation following a rigorous assessment based on a verified methodology and against several criteria performed by external independent Experts.
Once labelled, solutions join the #1000Solutions portfolio and access exclusive perks, such as events, business and investment opportunities, and communication support.
As a member of the International Cleantech Network, the CORE Cleantech Cluster can support our network of cleantech entrepreneurs (and the Foundation’s mission) by encouraging members of our ecosystem to submit their solutions to the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label.
What are some of the benefits of this label?
- Access to Markets – special events, pitch slots, media contacts
- Appeal to Investors – direct introductions, coaching from European Investment Bank
- Contribute to Environmental Advocacy – introductions to stakeholders, panel invitations
- Get Feedback from Industry Experts – direct conversations with experts
- Gain Credibility – third party approval and labelling
- Increase your Visibility – media opportunities
Through this collaboration, the Solar Impulse Foundation and CORE Cleantech Cluster are collaborating to support the development and implementation at scale of clean technologies, and encourage decision-makers around the world to adopt ambitious environmental regulations and energy policies.
