This interactive roundtable gathers regional experts, municipal leaders, and community housing advocates to explore and address key challenges in scaling sustainable and affordable housing in the Maritimes.

This session aims to elevate regional issues to a national platform, informing government policies and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

About this Session's Panelist
Lindsay Blair – Executive Director, 2B Developments | President, Rural Impact Canada
Lindsay Blair is a passionate housing advocate, and founder of 2B Developments and Rural Impact Canada. With over 16 years of experience in construction and development, Lindsay has become a leading voice in affordable housing development and leader in rural and remote development across Ontario and Canada. Raised in Perth, Ontario, her lifelong connection to rural communities has shaped her understanding of the unique challenges they face and inspired her mission to drive housing and economic growth in these regions.
At 2B Developments, Lindsay leads innovative housing projects that prioritize accessibility and affordability and breaking down challenges faced in rural communities. She is also a dedicated policy advocate, working across municipal, provincial, and federal levels to remove barriers to housing development. Her work includes successful collaborations with municipalities and nonprofits, successfully facilitating project funding with programs from CMHC and FCM, and fostering competitive developments with lower costs/sqft and efficient timelines.
Lindsay has previously served as vice-chair of the Affordable Housing Committee in Smiths Falls and continues to engage in volunteer work,consultations, and public speaking, sharing her insights on planning, zoning reform, public-private partnerships, supporting rural development, and making housing happen. Her leadership in the sector is helping shape national conversations about rural housing solutions and sustainable infrastructure.
