BinBreeze is a sustainable products company located in Victoria, BC, on a mission to “make sustainability easy.” We provide consumers and businesses with products that ease the pain of transition towards more sustainable behaviors. We make the adoption of sustainable practices more desirable, adoptable, affordable.

 

Our flagship, all-natural, non-toxic BinBreeze compost powder, launched in July 2019, makes composting easy! And we are growing fast! With product placement in Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Safeway, and other partnered retail chains, we’re experiencing rapid growth across Canada and abroad. Our team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales & marketing enthusiast to help us expand in the Canadian market and launch across the United States.

 

This position is initially funded under the DS4Y program, and therefore requires the applicant to be under 30, and not currently employed in their field of current or prior study, and a permanent resident, Canadian Citizen, or refugee. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a full-time Marketing & Brand Analyst at BinBreeze you will be responsible for promoting our innovative products and related services primarily in Canada and the US. You will work closely with the:

 

CEO on large marketing deals, giveaways, and partnerships
Sales team on targeting specific locations to promote
Co-op students and external marketing personnel on integrating branding strategy

 

You are a creative individual with a strong marketing and technical background who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric, entrepreneurial environment. You are highly motivated, results-oriented and thrive on exceeding targets. You can bring our vision to life and create brand recognition and loyalty. We are looking for individuals with a can-do attitude and positivity.

We anticipate this position being

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for branding the product and company by implementing and maintaining new and ongoing digital marketing and other advertising campaigns.
Communicate and coordinate ongoing campaigns with the sales and operations teams to ensure promotional targets can be met and fulfilled.
Control and track all social media platforms, including creating blog posts for the company.
Maintain and brand company website to fit the needs of consumers and coordinate between sales and operational goals.
Compile market research reports by gathering and analyzing customer data to assist the sales team.
Creating an ongoing content calendar for social media channels such as Instagram Reels, Stories, and Posts.
Run pop-up promotional events on location
& more, as a start-up we tackle new challenges all the time. This is not a mundane desk job.

 

Qualifications

Located in the Victoria/Vancouver area
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in a Sales, Marketing or equivalent role.
Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods sales is an asset.
Experience with using media tools such as Shopify, Instagram, Facebook etc.
Start-up mentality is a must; prior start-up/business school experience is preferred.
A true passion for customers – fanatical about providing customers the desired and becoming their advocate.
Passionate, proactive self-starter that is self-directed and able to execute and solve problems independently.
Creative, innovative personality, with the ability to execute new ideas.
Strong team spirit and able to work effectively in collaboration with others, coordinating across teams and building consensus.
Excellent communication skills (fluent in English) and ability to influence and steer customers, and spot opportunities to help.
Good business judgement and common sense and able to prioritize effectively.
Strong process management skills; does not miss out on an opportunity.
