Mining Innovation Project Manager (Full-Time)

We’re looking for an Innovation Project Manager for BC’s Mining Sector Net Zero Initiatives to help build Foresight’s BC Cleantech Ecosystem.

The BC Cleantech Ecosystem is a hub and node network focused on scaling specific cleantech sectors and regions to break down silos, scale technologies, and increase local economic development. We’re looking for a project manager with experience in the mining sector, and excellent communication and research skills to help with the deployment of our cleantech ecosystem development program in British Columbia. 

As a member of our team, you will report to the Director, British Columbia. This role will include working within the broader mining ecosystem to build partnerships, identify innovative opportunities, host ecosystem events, and coordinate cross functional projects and team activities with the broader Foresight team on accelerator programs, innovation challenges, and research projects. Your ultimate goal is to help make BC a leader in sustainable mining for the world.

This means that you are a great writer and communicator, a team player, an entrepreneurial self-starter, are comfortable working remotely, and have strong time and project management skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Working with the Sector Program Executive and the Director, British Columbia to create connections between industry sectors and technologies to grow the cleantech ecosystem in British Columbia. 
• Research leading clean innovation opportunities for sustainability in the mining sector.
• Gather and share information on critical company developments, recruiting new companies into Foresight’s training programs. 
• Gather and share information on new business and financial opportunities that can benefit small and growing cleantech companies in British Columbia. 
• Lead reporting and tracking of success metrics associated with the British Columbia cleantech ecosystem project. 
• Connect accelerator programs, government initiatives, and large companies with an interest in innovation to support the British Columbia ecosystem.
• Manage and represent Foresight as a key supporter of the cleantech community in the British Columbia ecosystem. 

Experience:

• Two to five years relevant experience
• Undergraduate degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Strong project management and delivery experience
• Strong time management skills
• Strong written, networking and verbal communication skills
• Expertise, passion, or network in mining or, natural resources and clean technologies secondarily

Job Type:  Full-Time (Remote/Must reside in the province of British Columbia)

Rate: $70-80K + benefits*  (key is best fit and experience for the role)
