October 17, 2022: Foresight Canada is proud to announce that our Foresight 50 program has been recognized as a 2023 Canada’s Clean50 Top Project Award recipient.

Each year, the Clean50 Top Project Awards recognize innovative, informative, and inspiring projects from across Canada, and we’re thrilled that Foresight 50 has been identified as a project that accomplishes these important goals.

Foresight 50 is an annual list that showcases Canada’s most investable cleantech companies who are leading the transition to a net zero economy. Last year’s Foresight 50 companies have gone on to collectively raise $593M in capital support to help propel their cleantech solutions forward. By shining a spotlight on compelling climate solutions from across the country, Foresight 50 helps connect innovators with investors, customers, and partners who, together, can help make our ambitious net zero goals a reality.

“[When determining the Project awards], Delta Management Group and the Canada’s Clean50 organization carefully consider a combination of actual measurable impact, demonstrated innovation, and the project’s ability to inspire others to imitate it – and identifying Canada’s 50 most investable cleantech companies [through Foresight 50]  is a terrific example.” - Gavin Pitchford, CEO, Delta Management Group

Foresight is no stranger to the Clean50 Awards, with our SDG Connect Challenge program recognized as a 2022 Clean50 Top Project Award recipient and our CEO, Jeanette Jackson, named to Canada’s Clean50 for 2022, honouring her contribution to clean capitalism.

“Foresight is extremely honoured to have had so much recognition through the Clean50 Awards program. We are so pleased to have Foresight 50 included this year as a Top Project, and are excited to continue supporting and showcasing inspiring companies from across Canada that are working every day to solve the world’s most pressing climate issues.” - Jeanette Jackson, CEO of Foresight Canada

This year, the Foresight 50 program received a record number of nominations - over 150 outstanding cleantech solutions are being considered for the list. We’ll be announcing which innovative companies made the list on November 30, 2022 at a live streamed recognition event, available for all to watch. The event program is also expanding this year to include in-person investor matchmaking, further connecting the Foresight 50 and the cleantech investor community.

Watch from anywhere as we live stream our 2nd annual Foresight 50 Showcase on November 30, 2022. Register today.

About Foresight 50

Foresight 50, powered by Gowling WLG with support from the Canada’s Clean50 Awards Program, Copoint, and Simon Fraser University shines a spotlight on compelling climate solutions by recognizing Canada’s 50 most investable cleantech ventures. From coast to coast, spanning all sectors, the Foresight 50 are leading us on the path to net zero.

Our independent panel of judges, representing investors and cleantech community partners, evaluate the applications based on criteria including investability, potential environmental and employment impact, and probability of success.

Honourees are invited to an exclusive in-person event to connect directly with international cleantech investors as well as promoted broadly as Foresight 50 honourees.
