Foresight Introduces Sector-Specific Approach to Acceleration Programs

Article

Like any successful venture, Foresight innovates when new needs are identified. To meet the growing needs of the SMEs we support, Foresight has added four programs to our Acceleration platform this year. We look forward to helping companies on their path to pilot (Pilot), develop C-suite talent (CXO Growth with support from Fasken), and Investor Readiness. We are delighted to report that Foresight supported 325 ventures in 2021.

We’ve also heard the need to add sector-specific sessions to our flagship Launch and Deliver programs. This aligns with our NEXT sectoral cluster initiatives - agriNEXT, bioNEXT, carbonNEXT, energyNEXT, and waterNEXT bring together innovators, investors, and corporate partners in sectors to accelerate commercialization and adoption of cleantech solutions.

One of the strengths of our Acceleration programs is the cohorts. Innovators from multiple sectors learn from each other as they grow their businesses. But we have discovered there’s also a benefit to bringing innovators together from specific sectors. This allows them to hone in on opportunities, challenges, and connections that are unique to their area of focus.

In 2021, Foresight added energyNEXT and waterNEXT programming to our Launch and Deliver programs. Ventures with solutions in those markets had access to sector-specific sessions including industry overview, SME success stories, supply chain partners, and customer perspectives.
