TransLink Innovation Demonstration Project on Project Greenlight

TransLink is expanding its search for solutions for a better transportation future through an Open Call on Project Greenlight. Launched earlier this year, Project Greenlight is a demonstration platform that brings public and private enterprises together with innovators to rapidly source, screen, and onboard sustainability solutions.

The goal of the TransLink Innovation Demonstration Project is to help improve sustainability, operational performance, and customer experience with new solutions. The focus is on infrastructure, energy, and mobility systems. This could include optimizing how electric buses are charged and dispatched, reducing barriers to mobility for seniors, or digital solutions to increase operating efficiency and reduce cost.

TransLink offers funding and collaborative support to incubate, develop, pilot and implement ideas. This could include access to TransLink assets to test or demonstrate ideas and co-funding to advance per-commercialized concepts. Full details are on the TransLink challenge page.

The TransLink Open Call is one of five challenges issued by Project Greenlight. Created by the Vancouver Economic Commission and supported by program delivery partner Foresight, Project Greenlight is sponsored by TD Bank Group and Western Economic Diversification Canada.
