Uses cloud-based optimization approaching the theoretical limits of separation desalination, water/wastewater treatment, and reuse processes are complex. Conventional hydraulic, deterministic models are computationally incapable of providing operational parameters that can discover the losses (entropy generation) in the sub-process and component interrelations. They use Machine Learning and other data-driven technologies, along with industry’s most advanced models, to provide optimization set-points unpredictable by conventional technologies and/or operators.
Patent-pending system design for the membrane-based water desalination industry. Adaptive Desalination Technology (ADT) allows utilization of intelligent multistage process design with Artificially Intelligent operational support. Superior control enables plants to reach higher recoveries, treat waters of varying salinities, manage variable demand, and variable electricity prices – capitalizing on sophisticated process design made simple and efficient with AI support. Along with a flexible process design, ADT leverages heuristic machine intelligence with self-learning cleaning schedules and operational regimes. Such complexities have been difficult if not computationally impossible by hydraulic modeling tools.
Artificial Intelligence in the water infrastructure space allows for breakthrough improvements in process performance by identifying operating parameters, scheduling, correlations, and holistic actionable intelligence that is unpredictable by conventional tools. Advanced analytics allows operators, managers, and owners to reactively manage and improve their process, while proactively predicting and preventing unnecessary plant upsets and spikes in costs. Utilizing advanced data technologies and modeling methodologies, in addition to decades of domain expertise, we are able to comprehend and analyze operational data to provide actionable insights.
Currently designing and making an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) called “AutoZig” for picking golf balls in outdoor environment. It’s battery operated, GPS-enabled, fully autonomous and can run 24×7 in any weather condition. It is designed for golf driving ranges to replace manually picking up golf balls. Golf-balls-picking work inLumo North America alone costs $300 million each year. Currently there is no commercialized product like ours in the market, which creates huge opportunity for AutoZig.
Such clean and integrated technology can also be applied to meet concrete demands in other industries, including golf course inspection and maintenance, agriculture field control, fighting forest fire and mining/oil/gas field management. We have developed AutoZig prototype, received IRAP grant, applied provisional patent and have local golf driving range agreed to test AutoZig and purchase when it’s ready for sale. We need further funding and network support to take our company to the next level.

Nutrient pollution is the most widespread form of water pollution in the world today, and it is significantly threatening global health and food security.
Per year over 20 million metric tons of precious nutrients, phosphorus & nitrogen, with a fertilizer value over $15B leak to the environment from agricultural lands, untreated human waste flows and many other points.
We urgently need sustainable and affordable filtration solutions to stop the spread of damage and claim back the precious resources and lost profits.
With this mission in our minds, we have developed an exciting and innovative process to make affordable and efficient filters and filtering agents to address nutrient runoff on a global scale and decrease the cost of nutrient recovery process significantly.
Our patent-pending filters and filtering agents are produced using abundant, readily available waste materials and natural resources. They can capture and remove large amounts of phosphorus and nitrogen from waste flows generated by livestock agriculture (manure), croplands, wastewater, and sewage treatment facilities, food treatment and processing facilities, fish farms, mines, and other point and non-point sources. Removed nutrients can be used as a sustainable and concentrated fertilizer with or without after treatment.

Skaha Remote Sensing is developing sensor technology that can measure soil moisture remotely over large areas. This technology is being used in agriculture where the sensor in mounted on a UAV and is used to map moisture of top soil over entire crop fields. This information is used by growers and agronomists to maximize crop yield and reduce water and energy usage. Existing soil moisture sensors provide only spot measurements of humidity in very localized areas, or can only be deployed on bare fields without vegetation. Skaha\’s airborne remote sensor is not affected by vegetation and can quickly map soil moisture of an entire crop field with high resolution. Pilot projects to test this sensor were conducted in 2015 and are continuing in 2016, with other applications for this technology being explored as well.

PROXXI is smart sensor that allows us to see electricity with software. We have built the first digital electric field sensor that can interpret voltage and distance. The first product we have built is the Proxxiband which is targeted at electrical workers. It notifies the wearer by vibration (haptic feedback) when they get too close to an electric current, and helps reinforce the limits of approach.
Targeted at utility workers and those in industry at risk of electrocution, it is a device that provides companies peace of mind and visibility through connected monitoring and insights into employee safety. Each year, over 2000 electric utility employees in North America are electrocuted, with thousands more exposed to this danger in other industries. Each of these incidences costs between $1-4 Million dollars in insurance expenses, resulting in $3 billion per year expense.
Currently, there are no ambient, connected, always-on devices used to detect electricity. Workers rely on process to de-energize and follow lockout procedures. PROXXI provides that fail safe backup to virtually eliminate the risk.
