CRIN Lower Emission Fuels and Products Technology Competition

The Lower Emission Fuels and Products Technology Competition is an innovation challenge to source innovations that reduce the carbon intensity of the products and processes from Canada’s oil and gas industry. This includes, but is not limited to, transportation fuels and other hydrocarbon-derived products. The goal is to identify solutions that contribute to reducing emissions by 100 megatones by 2033. In order to achieve this, four focus areas have been selected to frame the technologies that are potential candidates for value-added energy and material products and reducing emissions from processes.

The Lower Emission Fuels and Products Technology Competition is funded by the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) through the Strategic Innovation Fund by the department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).
