Vancouver, CANADA – Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre announced today that it is partnering with Ecocity World Summit to host its Challenge Program as an exciting addition to the Ecocity World Summit happening in Vancouver Oct 7-11, 2019.
The Challenge Program will drive SMEs, academia, industry, and other interested parties to propose solutions for the presented challenges, and a select number of finalists will be chosen to present their ideas and submissions to the Ecocity audience on October 7th, 2019.
“This partnership is very exciting because everyone is coming together – academic partners, industry leaders, startup businesses and funders,”said Jeanette Jackson, CEO of Foresight. “This is an opportunity for Canadian solution providers to showcase their innovation to international markets and to tap into educational and networking opportunities both before and after the Summit event.”
The Challenge Program looks to accelerate action and lead innovation in cleantech, and is seeking solutions for 1) Building Resilient Cities, 2) Providing Access to Healthy and Nutritious Food, and 3) Reducing Ecological Impacts through New Material Innovations. Other Challenges to be announced pending engagement with sponsoring industry partners.

The Challenge Program will be hosting a 2-hour introductory session on the Community Exhibition Stage on October 10th at the EcoCity World Summit 2019, between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
