Regional Networks
With teams from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, our powerful regional networks are driving economic competitiveness from coast to coast.
In 2022, we launched the BC Net Zero Innovation Network (BCNZIN) with a foundational $7.5M from Pacific Economic Development Canada and the provincial Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation. This Innovation Network Model is simple, powerful, and universally adaptable:
- Convene diverse industry players to tackle shared, non-competitive challenges.
- Facilitate transparent and productive dialogue to align partners on actionable plans.
- Seed projects to de-risk innovation, thereby attracting significantly larger private investment.
- Pool resources to make ambitious, transformative projects economically viable.
In just three years, the initial $7.5M investment yielded an extraordinary return of $154M in combined new revenue and private investment, not including substantial job creation and export opportunities not yet quantifiable:
$82M
Canadian SME Revenue Growth
+149% of Targets
$79M
New Private Sector Investment
+280% of Targets
$30M
Export Sales Growth
+107% of Target
388

This Innovation Network Model is scalable, adaptable, and customizable across Canada. Whether innovating on agriculture in the Prairies, developing cutting-edge resource solutions in the North, or driving advanced manufacturing in Central Canada, the core principles remain powerfully consistent.
