I run my own company called Douglas McNeill Consulting Ltd (DMC), named after my father and grandfather, I’m originally from Nova Scotia, now based in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada. We work with companies that are helping build a sustainable future. Specifically, we offer support with investment readiness, commercialization, international expansion, site identification and project planning. Previously I took on the role of regional manager in Atlantic Canada for Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) one of the world’s leading green hydrogen companies, my role focused on the development of a proposed $5B+ project. I volunteer as an advisor/mentor for accelerators; Breakthrough Energy (Fellows Program), Foresight, Lab2Market, Holland College (cleantech academy). My approach is practical, hands-on, and tailored to the specific needs of each individual business, institution and community I work with.

My experience spans the globe, from the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, Europe and Canada. As an example, from 2009 to 2014 I built and ran an engineering consulting company helping international and local firms grow in Afghanistan. In addition to bringing in international clients, under my leadership we helped our local engineering clients win over $150M USD worth of projects. I’m a highly effective communicator with great people skills along with decision-making abilities and a focus on customer needs among a diverse client base. I understand the challenges and opportunities in building a business from the ground up and building sustainable partnerships.
