Driving Canada’s Sustainable Transportation Future
Transportation is more than a source of emissions—it is the lifeline of the Canadian economy. Accounting for nearly 25% of our national greenhouse gas emissions, the sector faces unique pressures due to our vast geography and resource-dependent trade networks.
Air pollution from fossil fuel-powered fleets remains one of the most pressing public health challenges in our urban areas, making the shift to electric cars and public transportation a public, environmental, and economic priority. Strengthening this sector means more than just reducing emissions; it means building a more efficient, competitive, and resilient supply chain.
By accelerating electrification and scaling eco-friendly, sustainable fuels, we are future-proofing Canada’s trade corridors and ensuring our supply chains can withstand global shifts. This work moves beyond breakthrough concepts by connecting bold innovators with established industrial leaders, securing a competitive advantage that ensures our transportation sector remains a resilient cornerstone of the national economy.
