Canada’s water infrastructure is aging and in need of repairs. Add the threat of storms and extreme weather reports caused by climate change and it’s clear that the status quo is not good enough - there is an urgent need for innovation.

A new generation of water innovators is emerging, such as Digital Water Solutions. Based in Guelph, Ontario, Digital Water Solutions has developed a device that measures pressure, transient pressure, acoustics, and water temperature in water distribution systems, then connects the data to an AI platform. The platform provides real-time information to utilities, proactively identifying potential leaks, pressure drops, and water temperature changes. Their solution is attracting clients from across North America and even a community in Iceland.
