April 20, 2026 — As Foresight Canada enters its 13th year of accelerating and deploying cleantech solutions to tackle the world’s biggest climate challenges, our Board of Directors is evolving to ensure we enter this next chapter with fresh energy and a continued commitment to innovation, integrity, and long-term impact.
Longtime Board Member Steps up as Board Chair
Matt McCulloch has been a key member of the Foresight Board Director since 2021. In his new capacity as Board Chair, Matt will continue to leverage his extensive experience guiding industries toward net-zero goals and support clean technology development and integration, drawing from valuable expertise in climate-resilient infrastructure development and energy transition strategies.
In addition to his role as Foresight Board Member and now Chair, Matt serves as Head of Decarbonization & Energy Transition for Norda Stelo, where he provides critical technology and investment decision-making support across multiple sectors.
I’m honoured to serve as Board Chair of Foresight Canada and to build on the strong foundation laid by Keith Gillard and the Board. Canada’s long‑term competitiveness and prosperity will be shaped by how quickly we can scale clean technology solutions, and I’m grateful to continue working with an organization central to that effort.
Matthew McCulloch Board Chair, Foresight Canada
Our heartfelt thanks go out to founding Director Keith Gillard, who held the role of Board Chair for 13 years, leading Foresight through periods of rapid growth and strategic pivots. Last year, Keith embarked on founding his own cleantech venture, SUSTAERO, which converts wood waste into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Keith is stepping back to a Board Director role in order to dedicate his attention to reducing Canada’s aviation-related emissions.
This moment is bittersweet, as I scale down my Board responsibilities with Foresight to scale up sustainable aviation fuel through SUSTAERO. Foresight's mission is one I have always been, and continue to be, deeply passionate about. Matt McCulloch has my full support and confidence, and I look forward to working with him and my fellow Board Members in this exciting new chapter for us all.

A Special Thank You to Jeanette Jackson
As CEO of Foresight since 2018, Jeanette Jackson’s passion and dedication was instrumental in accelerating the non-profit from a regional startup organization to Canada’s largest cleantech accelerator. With her expertise, Foresight has built a vibrant Industry Innovation Program and launched a sectoral approach to accelerate cleantech innovation and adoption.
After stepping down as Foresight’s CEO in 2025 to pursue other career opportunities, Jeanette graciously served as a Board Member to ensure a smooth transition and continued excellence. Now as she departs the Board in an official capacity, we are excited to have Jeanette’s continued expertise in a Board Advisor capacity.
As one of Foresight’s first corporate clients, I have had the privilege of seeing firsthand how Jeanette has grown, matured, and propelled Foresight into the force it is today through her boundless energy and leadership. Quite simply, Foresight would not be what it is today without her.
The board and staff are deeply grateful for her contributions, expertise, passion, and commitment. Her continued role as an advisor will be vital to Foresight’s ongoing success.
