Charlottetown, PEI | October 20, 2025 — Foresight Canada is thrilled to announce a major addition to its leadership team: Steven Myers, former Minister of Environment, Energy, and Climate Action for Prince Edward Island has joined as the new Vice President of Partnerships. Bringing extensive legislative and political experience, Myers will now lead Foresight’s Partnerships strategy to strengthen strategic networks and secure collaborations that accelerate cleantech adoption across Canada, and beyond.
Myers brings a wealth of relevant experience to Foresight, stemming from his 14 years in government. During his tenure, he served as minister across key portfolios, including Transportation, Environment, and Housing. Most notably, Steven advanced PEI from 9th to 2nd in Efficiency Canada’s rankings, and implemented critical climate-forward programs, such as PEI's comprehensive Building Resilience: Climate Adaptation Plan, unveiled in October 2022.
As a dedicated advocate for sustainability and innovation, Myers says he is eager to translate his policy experience into action, working with Foresight to aggressively scale cleantech adoption nationwide. Steven is joining a pan-Canadian leadership team which includes longtime Foresight team members Vancouver-based David Sanguinetti, Interim CEO; Calgary-based Amanda Lo, VP of Acceleration; Toronto-based Heather Crochetiere, VP of Technology Adoption; Kelowna-based Michelle Pavlik, VP of Communications; and Toronto-based Lisa Djakalovic, Director of Human Resources.
I am closing one chapter to focus on another in a space I am deeply passionate about: combating climate change through the adoption of innovative, homegrown solutions. I look forward to working with the entire Foresight team on this shared mission. Despite stepping away from politics, this means I will continue to build a better future for the people of PEI and for all Canadians.
