This week, Foresight Canada wrapped up our third annual #WomenLeadingCleantech campaign, recognizing 40+ women from across the country who are driving the growth of Canadian cleantech and accelerating the global transition to a net zero economy.

The climate crisis is a challenge that can only be solved if individuals from various backgrounds work together. From water tech to energy to the built environment, the women featured in this year’s campaign span across sectors, roles, and focus areas, and are making their mark on Canadian cleantech. By celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of these inspiring individuals, we hope to shine a light on the collaboration required to put Canada on a path to net zero.

Achieving a green economy requires contributions from innovators, industry, investors, academia, and government. And Canadian women are instrumental in this race, making up approximately 37% of cleantech and environmental roles in Canada. As a 60% women-led organization, we are so energized and humbled to see the growing impact of female leaders in this important work.

At Foresight, our audacious goal is to see Canada become the first G7 country to reach net zero. This year’s #WomenLeadingCleantech campaign reached more than 37,000 people across all channels, helping to highlight the efforts being made to achieve this ambitious target.

It’s been a pleasure to celebrate just some of the motivating women from across the country who are propelling the cleantech sector forward and helping to establish Canada as a global leader in the net zero transition.
