Summary
The clean transportation technology sector is experiencing significant growth as countries worldwide attempt to tackle persistent and hard-
to-abate emissions in mobility. The emergence of new technologies and low-carbon energy has disrupted established market players, challenged to keep up with the pace of innovation. BC in particular has established itself as a leader in clean transportation. The province was the first jurisdiction worldwide to legislate a 100% zero-emission vehicle sales mandate and is internationally recognized for its deep hydrogen and fuel cell research and development expertise. As an early adopter with a strong research base, BC's clean transportation technology sector is uniquely positioned to seize the opportunities presented by this global transition.
