Dr. Maryam MKhani is an entrepreneur, technology commercialization leader, and energy transition strategist with over 25 years of experience advancing innovative technologies, businesses, and strategic partnerships across the energy and energy-intensive sectors. Her career spans start-ups, academia, industry, and professional services, where she has bridged technology innovation with business strategy and market development. She has contributed to first-of-a-kind carbon capture initiatives, including early-stage Direct Air Capture (DAC), commercialization of the Regenerative Froth Contactor (RFC) technology, and development of a venture producing vanadium electrolyte from oil sands waste. She has also led technology evaluation, commercialization strategies, funding initiatives, and strategic partnerships to accelerate deployment across multiple industrial sectors. Recognized as one of Canada's 100 Women in Energy Transformation (WiET), Dr. MKhani is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, where she teaches graduate courses on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage and mentors future energy professionals.
