With nearly two decades of experience in marketing and communications, Nick has built a track record of crafting and deploying impactful narratives, integrated omnichannel marketing campaigns, and strategic messaging that resonate across industries and audiences.
Throughout his career, Nick has developed a reputation as an agile, results-driven leader with deep expertise in the technology, sustainability, and cleantech sectors. He excels in creating and managing marketing and communication programs that drive sales growth, elevate the customer experience, and advance key business priorities. Known for his collaborative approach, project management acumen, and strategic, systems-thinking mindset, Nick has become a reliable force who “gets sh*t done” by building strong stakeholder relationships and navigating complex projects with finesse.
Currently, as the owner of Blandford Creative, Nick provides fractional MarCom leadership and consulting services for organizations of all sizes. His consultancy supports clients in establishing powerful marketing strategies, creating compelling content, and managing integrated campaigns that achieve measurable results. Nick’s work spans multiple industries, including energy efficiency, clean technology, and industrial automation, and he is recognized for his ability to align marketing efforts with organizational goals in ways that drive meaningful impact.
In his 17-year tenure with Schneider Electric, Nick led strategic marketing and communications efforts for multiple global divisions, including Digital Energy and Services. He championed awareness initiatives around energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart grid technologies, explored new market opportunities in commercial and industrial properties, and collaborated on strategies to leverage services-focused offerings in various geographies around the globe.
Nick’s academic background includes an MSc in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from Blekinge Institute of Technology and a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Victoria. He has further enriched his global perspective and sustainability expertise through affiliations with the Alliance for Global Sustainability YES Programme and the World Energy Congress FELP. Additionally, he has co-founded Vibes YYJ, a creative content marketing company, and Strategic Sustainable Investments, a sustainable investment advisory firm. He also served on the Board of Directors for Student Energy, supporting its International Student Energy Summit.
