Meet the new generation of climate innovators delivering the technologies that will power, protect, and future-proof our planet.

Every year, Earth Tech brings together a new group of innovators building cleantech companies that tackle the climate challenge from both sides: reducing and removing emissions that contribute to climate change, while helping our communities, industries, and ecosystems prepare for and adapt to its impacts. This year's cohort brings fresh ideas and approaches to that challenge—and another reason to feel optimistic about what's possible.

Delivered by Foresight Canada in partnership with Social Innovation Canada, Earth Tech is a nine-month impact accelerator that gives climate innovators the mentorship, technical expertise, and capital connections they need to turn promising technologies into solutions with real-world impact.

Earth Tech's two streams tackle different but equally important sides of climate change:

  • Earth Tech: 2050: Accelerates high-impact climate tech ventures developing solutions that can significantly reduce or remove CO₂e emissions at scale.

  • Earth Tech: Adapt: Accelerates ventures developing solutions that help communities, industries, and ecosystems prepare for and respond to the impacts of a changing climate.

Between September 2025 and June 2026, Earth Tech saw:

  • $26.2M in capital raised by ventures
  • 31 jobs created during the program
  • 19 ventures accelerated
  • 12 paid pilots

These companies  represent the next generation of climate change adaptation and mitigation. Meet the innovators in this year's Earth Tech 2026 cohorts and learn more about the solutions they’ve built below.

Reduce and Remove: Meet Earth Tech 2050

Turning waste into opportunity by transforming overlooked resources into cleaner fuels, valuable materials, and new ways to store carbon:

AlumaPower turns scrap aluminum into safe, reliable electricity through its Galvanic Generator™ platform. Their modular systems provide long-duration backup and off-grid power for data centres, industrial facilities, defence, and microgrids—giving waste aluminum a valuable second life.

Carboform transforms agricultural and forestry residues into high-performance lignin materials that can replace fossil-derived ingredients in products such as cosmetics, coatings, and chemicals. Their green chemistry platform gives underused biomass a new purpose while creating materials ready for real-world applications.

CarbonLume transforms waste methane into clean hydrogen and high-value carbon nanotubes using a patented light-driven process. By targeting methane from oil and gas and other industrial sources, their technology tackles a potent greenhouse gas while creating materials that can be used in batteries, electronics, construction, and composites.

Carbonyx Minerals uses industrial waste and CO₂ to produce carbon-negative materials, including carbonates, silica, and recovered critical minerals. Their technology permanently stores CO₂ in solid form while creating valuable materials that can be put back to use by industry.

Infinite Carbon Corporation transforms underused Canadian forestry residues into high-value biocarbon. Their materials can be used in industrial applications, soil enhancement, and carbon-based fertilizers, helping store carbon while replacing materials traditionally derived from fossil fuels.

Cleaner ways to power the industries, infrastructure, and essential systems we rely on every day:

Hydrocool develops hydrogen-powered refrigeration systems for trucks, trailers, and shipping containers, replacing the diesel systems traditionally used to keep goods cold in transit. Their technology provides quiet, zero-emission refrigeration while reducing operating costs and eliminating diesel emissions.

Serenity Power develops compact, fuel-flexible solid oxide fuel cells for reliable power in remote and industrial settings. Designed to operate on natural gas, hydrogen, and other fuels, its systems offer a highly efficient, lower-emission alternative to conventional diesel generators.

SUSTAERO transforms sustainably sourced Canadian wood waste into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using its proprietary SOAR™ process. The company is developing a standardized network of SAF plants designed to create a secure and scalable supply of lower-carbon fuel for aviation.

Breaking down barriers to clean energy by making projects easier to build, operate, and scale:

ANESSA provides an AI-powered digital twin and optimization platform built specifically for anaerobic digestion and biogas projects. From assessing project feasibility and optimizing feedstocks to monitoring operating plants in real time, their software helps projects produce more renewable gas and reduce emissions.

Fathom Storage is developing a new anchoring technology designed to make floating offshore wind projects faster and more cost-effective to install. By dramatically reducing drag during installation, their technology can cut vessel use, steel requirements, installation time, and costs.

Retide Labs builds AI-powered intelligence systems to detect, track and predict ocean plastic pollution using satellite imagery, environmental data and in-situ information. Their Retide Maps platform is intended to guide targeted cleanup and eventually provide the intelligence layer for autonomous ocean cleanup systems.

Prepare and Respond: Meet Earth Tech Adapt

Anticipating climate risks earlier so communities can prepare, make informed decisions, and better protect the places we call home:

CRWN AI uses always-on acoustic sensing and AI to identify electrical problems across transmission infrastructure before equipment fails. By detecting potential issues earlier, their technology can help utilities prevent outages, prioritize maintenance, and reduce the risk of wildfires.

FireSafe AI brings cameras, satellites, drones, and other wildfire detection systems together into one early-warning and decision-support platform. By filtering out false positives and delivering verified wildfire alerts, they help communities, utilities, and emergency responders identify threats and respond sooner.

NOAH Intelligence uses physics-based flood modelling to turn complex climate and flood risk into property-level insights. Their platform helps insurers, governments, property owners, and financial institutions identify vulnerable assets, prioritize resilience investments, and take action before damage occurs.

Planète GreenLeaves (PGL) develops CityDigitalTwin, a physics-based platform that models heat, thermal comfort, wind, and building energy across neighbourhoods and cities. This allows planners, architects, and utilities to test different climate-adaptation strategies and understand their potential impact before construction or investment decisions are made.

Providing farms, forests, and coastal landscapes with modern tools to adapt, recover, and stay resilient as the climate around them changes:

CropMind combines computer vision, AI, and crop science to give vineyard and orchard growers detailed insights into their crops, from bud counts and disease to expected yields and harvest timing. By turning simple field video into actionable information, their platform helps growers use resources more efficiently, reduce waste, and make more precise farming decisions.

SeafarerAI Technology combines acoustic, visual, radar, and environmental sensors with AI to continuously monitor ports, coastlines, and Arctic environments. Their platform helps detect pollution, track environmental conditions, and improve maritime awareness, even in remote areas with limited connectivity.

TreeTrack Intelligence uses proprietary Seedpods, drones, and satellite monitoring to restore forests and degraded landscapes. Designed for wildfire recovery, mine reclamation, and ecosystem restoration, its technology can reach remote and difficult-to-access areas while tracking the results of restoration efforts over time.

Building on Resilience and Recovery

Climate action means supporting technologies that are not only mitigating the future effects of climate change but also helping us adapt to the effects we already experience in our daily lives.

Behind every technology in this year's cohort is a team choosing to take on one piece of a much bigger challenge. Together, their work shows what's possible when climate ambition is matched with the tools, expertise, and support to put ideas into action.

Over the next nine months, these founders will test ideas, strengthen their businesses, connect with experts and investors, and continue the difficult work of turning promising technologies into solutions that can make a difference in the real world.

It takes people willing to face the challenge to build something better—and a strong ecosystem to help them do it. We're excited to welcome this year's Earth Tech innovators and support a prosperous future where both people and the planet can thrive.
