What’s missing in British Columbia

We need a model for collaboration for clean technology stakeholders that accelerates the major institutional, industrial and technological change that is required to achieve both climate goals and shared economic prosperity in the long-term, across the entire province. This type of activity happens best when a “cluster” of interconnected businesses both cooperates and competes – often referred to as “co-opetition”.

Our call to action is to engage all stakeholders in building Foresight BC’s Cleantech Cluster and form a stronger clean technology innovation ecosystem that accelerates the pace of innovation, gets new ideas to market faster and scales the cleantech industry.

Our Vision

By 2030,  Foresight BC and partners will create strong regional cleantech clusters that are driving the benefits of a clean economy for BC, Canada, and beyond. BC is already a global leader in key sectors and is known for rapidly building, scaling, and anchoring companies, and Foresight BC will continue to bring industry, government, academia, investors, and SMEs together to fuel the transition to a clean economy.

Our Mission

Our mission is to accelerate the growth and impact of cleantech ecosystems across Canada to achieve deep decarbonization and net-zero climate targets, and to position BC as a global centre for innovation, talent, and capital, to scale and fund Canadian cleantech solutions.

Venture Acceleration Program

Innovate BC’s Venture Acceleration Program helps entrepreneurs accelerate the process of defining a proven business model with a set methodology and best practices for growing technology companies.

The Program is delivered by EIRs and a province-wide network of partners and entrepreneurs. Together, they make up the BC Acceleration Network, an alliance of regional partners and executive-level mentors, which Foresight Canada is part of.
