Become an Active powerNEXT Venture
Our powerNEXT program is an innovation accelerator and network hub that provides strategic support to your power venture and helps drive technology adoption across our country’s power landscape.
With our network of values-aligned investors, technology partners, researchers, and industry decision-makers, powerNEXT provides ongoing access to targeted opportunities, training, capital, and the co-development and adoption of solutions.
Supports Currently Available:
- Industry Matchmaking Series: Choose up to four industry-led sessions every fall that deep-dive into current challenges, opening the door for piloting opportunities and expanded network opportunities. These are open to powerNEXT ventures that are also clients of IRAP.
- powerNEXT Annual Cohort: Our cohort runs for 11 weeks starting November 7, 2024 and includes sector-specific insights into technology needs, end user and clean energy trends, investor perspectives, and ecosystem opportunities. Leave with a robust understanding of how to succeed in today’s clean energy landscape.
- Foresight Community Membership: All applicants will get access to Canada’s wider cleantech community through a dedicated Slack channel and Foresight newsletter, giving you access to the latest on ecosystem events, programs, and challenges.
What you can expect:
All ventures that participate in the powerNEXT Industry Matchmaking Program and/or the powerNEXT Annual Cohort must have, and endorsed by, an IRAP ITA (Industrial Technology Advisor). Upon completion, we will review your application, and you will receive further instructions regarding your ITA.
If you have already participated in a Foresight Accelerate from Anywhere program, please contact powerNEXT directly.
Foresight would like to thank Electricity Canada as well as the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), for providing funding support for its Cleantech Ventures program, part of which makes this initiative possible.
