Foresight Canada is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for the 1st annual Alberta Cleantech Awards. This event recognizes inspiring leaders within Alberta’s vast cleantech ecosystem who are relentlessly moving the needle toward net zero.
With four categories and a special fifth category to be announced, the Awards will highlight innovators, industry leaders, investors, government officials, and academics who are developing game-changing climate solutions that put Alberta on the map as a leader in cleantech innovation.

An in-person Awards ceremony will be held on April 27, 2023 to bring Alberta’s climate leaders together in celebration of the impressive achievements of this year’s winners, as well as the province’s growing cleantech ecosystem as a whole.

Nominations will be open from until March 31, 2023. If you know of a deserving candidate within the Alberta cleantech ecosystem, nominate them today. Self nominations are welcome.
Alberta Cleantech Awards Categories
Startup of the Year (Group)
An emerging cleantech venture actively growing and already creating impact in their field (suggested TRL 1-6)
Venture of the Year (Group)
A cleantech venture positioned to take a leadership role on the global innovation stage.
Funder of the Year (Group or individual)
A funder, investor, government program, or VC championing a net zero economy by investing in cleantech ventures.
Ecosystem Supporter of the Year (Group or individual)
An organization championing the growth and development of cleantech in AB through the support of climate-focused entrepreneurs, programs, ecosystem development, thought leadership, and community building.
Adopter of the Year (Group)
A leading organization, company, or group adopting or championing sustainable practices in their industry.
