Rebuilding with Resilience

The village of Lytton, BC and surrounding area were destroyed by wildfires in June 2021. Now, a community-led project is taking an innovative approach to rebuilding. Foresight is pleased to be a partner in the Kanaka Bar Resilient Housing Solutions project, led by Kanaka Bar Indian Band and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

We’re looking for solutions that will help the Kanaka Bar Indian Band build back better. If you have a product or technology that will add to the sustainability and resilience of the residential rebuild of the Lytton region, this could be a game-changing opportunity for your venture.

Green Buildings for a Stronger Future

The Kanaka Bar Resilient Housing Solutions challenge will source housing building material technology providers and product options that will be used to build four to eight homes to validate material properties, climate resiliency, energy and carbon performance, and affordability.

Watch for news about a new Innovation Challenge we’re launching in early February. Sign up for project updates to ensure you’re first to know when the Challenge is announced and how you can take part.
