Rus Matichuk joined Levven Electronics Ltd. in 2024 to drive the growth of the business as VP Sales, Canada.  Levven’s Switched Right solution is now in homes in most of the States and Provinces in North America. The whole-home wire-free switches offer embodied and operational GHG emission reductions for homebuilders and homebuyers along with build cycle day savings, improved building envelopes, reduced rework, and the comfort of timers, and voice control for all lights in a home.

Rus has had senior leadership roles in many companies spanning several industries including IT, Real Estate and Development, CleanTech, Medical Devices, Financial Services, Hospitality, and Transportation.  He has also provided executive-level strategic advisory services for many companies as a board member or contractor.

Rus built his career around listening and learning from clients, employees, and key stakeholders and implementing efficient and effective solutions to key issues.  He launched one of the first Internet Service Providers that offered retail distribution, one of the first online corporate reservation systems companies, a computer service bureau that provided publishing automation solutions and information systems integrations services, and an enterprise integration software and services company with global distribution and many brand name Fortune 500 customers.  Rus ran a $40 million investment portfolio comprised of operating businesses and a pool of capital that sourced high yield short to mid-term loans.  He also led teams that sourced and secured acquisitions and divestitures resulting in high returns for key stakeholders.

For over 20 years, Rus has been a chairman or board member in many industry associations which have launched successful venture capital forums, accelerators, angel investment groups, awards, and many other notable accomplishments.  Rus is currently the Chairman of the Alberta Science and Technology Awards. After merging the Alberta Clean Technology Industry Alliance with Foresight Canada, Rus relinquished his 10-year role as Chairman of ACTia and now is on the Foresight board.
