Sam Anderson is an engineer and data scientist dedicated to achieving global carbon neutrality by 2050. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of CarbonGraph, a digital platform that companies use to calculate and share the carbon footprint of their products.

Before founding CarbonGraph, he worked at Hatch as an engineering consultant helping the world’s largest mining companies reduce their carbon footprints and streamline their operations. He has designed smelting equipment, solar farms, and fuel switching systems for mines in over a dozen countries, culminating in Sam creating the full ‘net-zero by 2030’ plan for De Beers Group’s Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine in the Canadian Arctic.

Sam holds a BASc in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University and is a part-time graduate student in the Computer Science Department at UCLA.

Outside work, he enjoys triathlon, history, music, math, and spending time with his partner Victoria and dog Freya in Toronto.
