October Alumni Recap | Foresight Alumni Raise More Than $185 Million in Funding

This month, Foresight’s network of amazing alumni companies have raised more than $185 million, broken ground on new projects, and received international recognition for their game-changing contributions to the fight against climate change.

Here are a few of the highlights:

New Partnerships

Terra CO2 has partnered with Asher Materials to construct their first commercial-scale plant. After construction and commissioning, Asher will purchase the plant and have exclusive rights for selling Terra’s low-carbon cement product in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Lucent Bio, has announced the grand opening of the first Soileos production facility in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, where it will produce Soileos, a suite of sustainable crop nutrition products.

Awards & Recognition

RainStick, a shower appliance for both residential and commercial spaces, was named one of TIME Magazine’s best inventions of 2023

Summit Nanotech, which has developed a way to sustainably extract high-purity lithium for electric vehicle demand, has been named one of LinkedIn’s Top Startups of 2023.

VoltSafe Inc. has earned an IBEX Innovation Award for its innovative shore power solution, VoltSafe Marine.

Funding

Foresight 50 Alumni Eavor Technologies has raised $182 million in its recent equity round, which includes $90 million from the Government of Canada’s new Clean Growth Fund, to advance its closed-loop geothermal technology.

Arca has received $1.25 million in funding from the BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy to continue its development of MMV technology for quantifying and validating carbon dioxide removal via carbon mineralization in alkaline waste.

Relocalize, the developer of the world's first autonomous micro-factory for the food & beverage industry, announced today that it has raised USD $2.5 million in the initial closing of a USD $3.5 million seed round.

CO2 Lock Corp has successfully closed a $1.1 million SAFE funding round, to expand their technical programs, and further explore  structural geology and cutting-edge geophysics at their Sam facility in Prince George.

To date, our network of 1,000+ Foresight-supported ventures have raised $1.6+ billion in capital, generated $456+ million in revenue, and created 7,870+ high-paying jobs. In total, the economic impact of our alumni companies is more than $2 billion.
